In September we were fortunate enough to visit the Lake District in Cumbria.
Our hotel was very romantic looking and the scenery was outstandingly beautiful.
Merewood Country House Hotel
The view from the hotel gardens
Of course, it rained. It did that most of the time we were in the UK.
Some lovely pictures of the lake.
The three witches from MacBeth.
The bottom of the slippery slip (from The Enchanted Wood series by Enid Blyton).
A grand setting for a vacation or retreat.
It is, Brad. Very pretty and the villages are so quaint.
Almost seems expected that you would have rain there…adds to the overall mood of the place…gorgeous scenery!
You are right about that, John. Rain does add to the atmosphere. A very pretty place.
Very inviting and lovely photographs
Thank you, Danny. It is a delightful place to visit.
Rain or not it is still a glorious place.. Thank you for the memory, Robbie đź’•
It is a gorgeous place, Carol. Rain doesn’t bother me at all. No rain, on the other hand, does. I feel like I am being melted at present.
I love the rain here it is either really torrential or just steady but warm…Melting I try not too but not always easy is it, Robbie ?
It was snowing the day we were there.
I imagine it would be very pretty in the snow, but a bit on the chilly side.
Beautiful, Robbie.
Thank you, Jennie, it is an extraordinarily lovely plac.e
You’re welcome, Robbie.
Beautiful pictures Robbie. That hotel looks lovely, too bad you had so much rain.
It was beautiful and green, Carla. Thanks for visiting.
Fabulous photos. I was there a few years ago in February it was freezing, but still stunning.
I can imagine that February would be a cold time to visit. It is very beautiful there.
